Thieves make off with fishing tackle
Row of sheds burgled in early hours of the morning
BURGLARS struck at a row of homes this morning, rifling through garden sheds.
They made off with fishing tackle but left power tools and electrical equipment strewn about.
The incident, at Colthrop Cottages in Colthrop Lane, Thatcham, happened in the early hours today (Thursday).
The sheds are in individual gardens, although one is outside in a communal area.
It is thought the burglars may have been disturbed when one resident investigated the reason his dog was barking around 4am.
The break-ins are the latest incident in which fishing tackle has been targetted.
On Friday, May 22, at 5am angler Neil Denton, licensee of The White Horse pub in Hermitage, was attacked, tied up, beaten and robbed of fishing tackle worth £5,000.
That incident happened off Muddy Lane near Thatcham's Nature Discovery Centre.
