Thieves target cars in the same Thatcham street




Thieves struck in the same Thatcham street twice in two days, prompting Thames Valley Police to launch an investigation.

The first instance took place in Dunstan Close between 9pm on Tuesday, October 8, and 6.30am on Wednesday, October 9.

In this case, they smashed the driver’s window of a car and stole cash to the value of £70.

The second case took place between midnight and 5.30pm on Wednesday, October 9.

The thieves entered the driveway of a home and broke into a parked car.

Once inside, they took money, sunglasses, a mobile phone cable charger, and perfume.

Police are appealing for help in a bid to catch the burglars.

Anyone with information, or doorbell, CCTV or dashcam footage that could help their investigation is asked to call 101, quoting reference 43240485265 for the first theft, and 43240487173 for the driveway theft.
