Wassail, Hampstead Norreys Shop Orchard, 1.30pm-4.30pm. Fun family event with all the noise and celebration of a traditional Wassail. Andy Fowler will lead a drumming workshop. There will be kings, queens and blessings for the trees and we’ll follow this all up with some circus skills. To really get into the swing of things, bring along a pan and wooden spoon (it’ll take a lot to wake the trees up!). Tickets £5 per person available from HNCS or by emailing hncshop@yahoo.co.uk

February Litter Pick, Moorside Kennet Heath, 10am-11am. Meet at the Moorside Community Centre on Kennet Heath. You can collect all the equipment you need - picker, bag hoop, hi viz and bags and then head out picking. Please bring reusable gloves and a reusable water bottle.
Young People and Children First Family Fun Run, Greenham Common, please arrive between 10.15am and 10.45am. Start times will be staggered. A fun and light-hearted event sticking to paths so off-road pushchairs should be fine and children must be supervised at all times. Money raised will be used to upgrade a bathroom at one of the charity’s properties. Children and people of all ages are welcome to walk, jog or run a 3km route on Greenham Common. Dogs on leads are very welcome. A maximum of 50 runners are permitted at this event (as agreed with Bucks, Berks and Oxon Wildlife Trust) so please purchase tickets £15 in advance. Kintbury Wildlife Group, Coronation Hall, Kintbury, 7.30pm. Member of the Berkshire Bat Group Rachel Richards will give an illustrated talk on British bats, their habits and habitats.
