Climate Emergency workshop in Newbury, classic cars in Ramsbury and Hungerford food market: What's on and where to go in West Berkshire and North Hampshire




From saving the planet to jumble sales, there's something for everyone this weekend.

Saturday

  • Newbury Town Council’s fifth Climate Emergency Workshop, Town Hall Chamber, Market Place, Newbury, 2pm. Open to all. Representatives from local sustainability groups Friends of the Earth Newbury and West Berkshire Sustainable Community will be in attendance. Registration is recommended as numbers are restricted.   • Marlborough Classics, Ramsbury Brewery, 11am-3pm. Come along in your Classic car and meet other like-minded enthusiasts. Free to attend and plenty of parking.
  • Jumble sale, Padworth Village Hall, 2pm.
  • Bingo Night, Bishop’s Green Village Hall, Beech Road, Newbury, 7pm. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to The Royal Berks Hospital – The Stroke Ward in memory of Tricia House. Tea and coffee available to buy or bring your own bottle. Bingo game £2. Cash only event. And over 18s only.
  • Quiz, Community Centre, Wash Common, 7.30pm. £6 per team – maximum five in a team. Further information: call 01635 33887. In aid of Maureen Church Fund, Victoria Ward, Royal Berkshire Hospital.

  • Hungerford Food & Artisan Market, Croft Field,10am-1pm. More than 35 local food and artisan stalls, street food, cooking demonstrations, plant/produce swap. Bring your own apples and pears for pressing into juice.
  • East Woodhay Silver Band annual concert, East Woodhay village hall, Heath End, 3pm. Tickets £5, children under 12 free.
