Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust

Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.

And every Sunday we have been shining a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.

Nationwide, the charity currently has 707 dogs that are looking for a family to join.

Today we have “squishy, loveable” Winston to introduce you to.

Winston is a two-year-old bulldog.

He is described as “super affectionate” but can get a little protective of his toys sometimes.

“Winston loves his toys but can struggle a bit when it comes to sharing and will need patient adopters who will work with him on this,” said the trust.

He can also occasionally forget his size so the trust has said it would be best if he lived with older children, who can cope with a heavier-built dog.

They are looking for a quiet household for Winston with a private garden, where he is the only pet in the home.

They hope his adopters would be happy to continue his training and socialisation around other dogs too.

They added: “This squishy loveable boy enjoys his cuddles and is super affectionate with his favourite people.”
