Thousands enjoy classic car show
Hundreds of vintage cars and bikes were on display at Newbury Racecourse on Sunday
THE SOUND of revved engines drew over 3,000 people to Newbury Racecourse on Sunday as the 12th annual classic car and bike show rolled into town.
Organisers said attendance was up on the last event in January, and that they couldn't fit any more vehicles onto the site.
A spokeswoman for Andrew Greenwood's Classic Shows, Judith Crummack, said it had been a great day for enthusiasts and novices alike.
"It was really successful, the weather was a big help," she said.
"We had more cars than we've seen there before and quite a few bikes too, we did a lot of trade, it was just a great day."
