Thousands to descend on racecourse for Calvin Harris gig tonight (Sat)

Dubbed the most well-connected DJ in British pop and having collaborated with some of the biggest names in industry, from Kylie Minogue to Dizzee Rascal and most recently Grammy Award winning Rihanna, Calvin Harris will perform tracks including ‘We Found Love’, as well as summer classics ‘Ready for the Weekend’ and ‘I’m Not Alone’.
The first of the six races will start at 4pm, followed by the Brit Award nominated DJ hitting the decks from 9pm.
Managing director of racing and events at Newbury Racecourse, Stephen Higgins, said: “This exclusive performance to start our season of racing and music is a massive coup for Newbury, and follows some of the country’s leading acts who have played here over the last few years.
“This really is an event with it all: racing, Calvin Harris, and our after show party, the White Room trading into the early hours.
