Three men charged after Vodafone theft
Thousands of pounds worth of top end mobile phones were stolen from the Newbury headquarters offices
THREE men have been charged by Thames Valley Police in relation to theft of mobile phones from the Vodafone headquarters in Newbury.
The haul of high value telephones, worth a total of £15,000, were stolen between August 12 and September 13 last year.
A 24-year-old man from Maple Drive, Newbury, has been charged with one count of theft by employee to the value of £13,950.
A 46-year-old man of Bath Road, Thatcham, has been charged with one count of handling stolen goods to the value of £4,860 and one count of converting criminal property and a 23-year-old man from Gaywood Drive, Newbury, has been charged with one count of handling stolen goods to the value of £1,000 and one count of converting criminal property.
The three men are due to appear at West Berkshire Magistrates Court on June 21.
