Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury man convicted of drink-driving in Thatcham




A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel after drinking more than the legal limit.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 20, was David Fuell.

The 38-year-old, of Maple Crescent, Newbury, admitted driving a Vauxhall Vectra on Foxglove Way, Thatcham, on Friday, August 12, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 48mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Mr Fuell was fined £120.

In addition he was ordered to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £48.

Finally, Mr Fuell was banned from driving for three years.
