Three young pups looking for forever homes in Newbury
Three young dogs at Dogs Trust Newbury are waiting for their forever homes, writes Kyra Radley.
All aged two and under, Bertie, Barney and Polly need to have homes where they can continue to grow in a loving environment.
Bertie is a Shar Pei cross, and came to the dogs trust with his mother and siblings because their owner couldn’t take care of them.
He is last to be rehomed and is looking for a quiet or rural location, away from busy roads.
He would benefit from his own garden and space to play with his toys.
He needs a family who will, with dedication, continue his training and happily spend time cuddled with him on the sofa.
Barney Rubble is a lurcher, and a lively but affectionate young boy.
He has a lot of puppy energy so would benefit from having an active family to stimulate his mental and physical needs.
He is training currently, especially focusing on his social skills with other animals as he gets very excited seeing another dog.
Barney would benefit from being the only dog in a home, with a family including children aged 12 and over, to give him lots of attention and entertainment.
Polly, a German shepherd cross Staffordshire bull terrier, is two years old and looking for a loving family who can reassure her in new situations.
With a previous owner she led a slightly sheltered life, so she would now seek a quiet and rural home.
Polly is an intelligent and active girl who enjoys agility and scent work.
A family who can continue these activities, as well as giving a fuss to Polly would be ideal.
The dogs trust is a nationwide charity that caters to giving rescue dogs a second chance at a happy life.
