The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms over much of southern England and south-east Wales
The warning covers all of West Berkshire, including Newbury and the surrounding area.
The 'yellow warning' runs from now until 11pm tonight (Monday).
A yellow warning means residents should prepare for heavy showers, torrential downpours and thunderstorms, which may cause some flooding.
There could also be significant travel disruption, with the possibility of bus and rail services being cancelled, and difficult driving conditions.
There is also a slight chance that power cuts could occur.
