Met Office issues yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across West Berkshire and North Hampshire

A yellow weather warning has been issued for the district throughout tomorrow (Wednesday).

The warning for thunderstorms, issued by the Met Office, runs from 9am until 7pm.

It said that heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop throughout the day and may cause some flooding and travel disruption.

The warning also said that there could be “some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes”, as well as short term loss of power and other services.

People are also being advised that driving conditions could be affected, with longer journey times and delays to some train services.
