Tilehurst grass fire suspected arson

According to Ellie Gray of the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, one crew was called from Tilehurst at 4.34am to the grass fire in McIlroy Park.
Firefighters left the scene at 5.38am, after informing police.
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) has issued safety warnings on the dangers of lighting fires on grass, or open heathland, in tinderbox conditions, due to the heatwave over the last two weeks.
