Tilehurst man dies after being critically injured in Reading collision
According to Thames Valley Police, police were called at around 3,30pm on Monday, after a white Ford Transit van collided with a pedestrian in Tilehurst Road.
The pedestrian, a 31-year-old man, who lived in Tilehurst, police have confirmed, was critically injured and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
He was transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he died yesterday (Wednesday January 15), according to police.
Investigating officer Pc Melanie Todd, of Thames Valley Police Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said:
“I am appealing for anyone who saw the collision; anyone who was in the area at that approximate time, or anyone with any information regarding the incident to come forward.
“If you saw what happened or saw the van shortly before the collision, please call police via our non-emergency number.”
