Top tips for budding golfers in Hungerford

They picked up some top tips for the Tri Golf Tournament at Datchet Golf Course in Berkshire yesterday (Tuesday), for which they qualified by winning a tournament hosted by Park House School in Newbury in May.
Before the qualifiers, none of the Hungerford youngsters had had any golf experience.
So, to help prepare them for the event, Donnington Grove Country Club organised a training session.
The session was run by the director of instruction at the Jonathan Yarwood Golf Academy, Matt Woods, and by the club’s director of golf, Gareth Williams.
One of the delighted parents, Louise Evans, said: “It was amazing to see how much the children improved in just one hour. They all loved it and are even more excited about the tournament now.”
Gareth Williams said: “We had great fun and, judging by the smiles, they did too. It was nice to send them to Windsor with a little more knowledge and new skills.”
