Thatcham Broadway and High Street to close to traffic for Christmas Lights Switch On

Roads will be shut for the Christmas Lights Switch On in Thatcham town centre next week.

Both sides of The Broadway and High Street will be closed between 1pm and 10pm on Friday, December 6.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, business deliveries and those whose properties or premises can only be accessed from The Broadway.

The Co-op car park will be closed from 1pm.

Anyone needing access to The Broadway may be asked to wait while the route is made safe for them to pass.

The southern end of The Broadway, near the Christmas Tree, will remain open to westbound traffic only from Station Road towards St Mary's Church.

Taxis will have a temporary rank in the Kingsland Centre Car Park, near Waitrose.

Bus stops in The Broadway will be closed, with the next nearest bus stops being in Green Lane and Thatcham Cemetery.
