Hungerford Town Council backs electric vehicle chargers at Cobbs
HUNGERFORD Town Council has thrown its weight behind a bid to install electric vehicle (EV) charging points at Cobbs Farm Shop outside Hungerford.
InstaVolt is proposing to install six rapid EV charging stations in the car park of the shop on the A4.
The town council's environment and planning committee has formally supported the project, in its advisory capacity to West Berkshire Council planners.
It is envisaged that eight existing parking spaces will become EV charging bays, along with associated equipment
The company proposes to charge customers for using the facility.
