Newbury Town Council holding open coffee morning to get residents' views on future of Hutton Close open space

An open coffee morning is being held at the town hall so that residents can be consulted about the future use of the open space at Hutton Close.

Newbury Town Council is holding the event on Saturday, October 8, from 10am so it can determine the best use of the space for the benefit of the community.

Options considered include placing children’s play equipment on some of the land, letting it continue as a public open space, or creating a formal garden, park or urban woodland.

Council leader Martin Colston said: “We have sent letters letters directly to residents in the surrounding area as well as promoting on our website and social media and are holding this coffee morning for anyone in the local vicinity of Hutton Close and discuss these options with us.

“All views are welcome, and the consultation closes on October 30.”
