Hungerford carnival returns to town with parade and classic car competition
Hungerford enjoyed some fun in rare sunshine as the annual carnival returned to town.
Entrants gathered at John O'Gaunt School at 4pm before the parade through the town at 5pm.
The town carnival committee was re-established in 2019 but there was a hiatus during the Covid years.
Town mayor Helen Simpson said after this year's parade: "Congratulations to the carnival committee for their hard work and commitment to Hungerford."
Other community groups taking part included the 1st Hungerford Guides and Brownies and Hungerford Nursery School.
Constable of the Town and Manor of Hungerford, Julie Lloyd, and Bellman, Robin Tubb, were also in the parade, before judging the classic car competition.
And the youngsters among the crowds were given the opportunity to sit in the fire engine once the parade had finished.
