Thatcham to host Big Green Market as part of national campaign promoting community action on climate, nature and sustainable living




Thatcham Town Council is hosting a special market to celebrate community action on climate, nature and sustainable living next month.

The market, which will be held on The Broadway on Friday, June 6, will feature a range of eco-conscious traders, local producers and green organisations to mark Big Green Week.

Alongside Thatcham’s regular Friday market stalls, visitors can meet Indigo Spiritual, offering holistic products focusing on wellbeing and sustainability, and Sam Bradford Ceramics showcasing handcrafted, sustainable ceramics.

Tropic Skincare will also be offering cruelty-free, eco-friendly skincare products, while Eco-Friends (West Berkshire) and the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust will be sharing insights into environmental awareness, protecting local wildlife and nature reserves.

The Centre for Sustainable Energy, supporting people and organisations to tackle the climate emergency, Viva!, promoting plant-based living, and West Berkshire Council’s waste team will be offering advice on recycling, waste reduction and sustainable living.

The Big Green Week Market is part of a national campaign encouraging individuals, businesses and communities to make a positive environmental difference.

The organisers kindly ask visitors to bring reusable bags to take their goods home with them.
