Traffic alert: Delays on the A34 as the district wakes up to icy conditions and a covering of snow

UPDATE at 8.52am: One lane on the A34 is currently blocked by a broken down vehicle.

There are now delays of around 40 minutes on the northbound carriageway between the A4185 and the A4130.

The road is not expected to be cleared until at least 9.30am, with normal traffic conditions not anticipated to return until around 10.30am.

There are also delays at the exit slip road at the A4185 junction as traffic tries to divert to avoid the lane closure.

There are currently delays on the A34 as the district wakes up to icy conditions and a covering of snow.

The northbound carriageway, between the A4185 at Chilton and the A4130, is experiencing delays of around 20 minutes.

Normal conditions are expected within an hour.
