Traffic collision shuts A339 both ways from The Swan Inn at Newtown, Newbury and Bishops Green

The A339 is currently shut both ways after a traffic accident.

The road is closed between The Swan Inn roundabout in Newtown and the Bishops Green roundabout after reports of a vehicle collision yesterday (Friday) afternoon.

To avoid further traffic gridlock, motorists are advised to find an alternative route.

Police are yet to confirm the cause of the incident and its outcome.
