Great Western Railway update: Trains between Newbury and Bedwyn currently cancelled due to points failure




UPDATE: Services have now resumed.

UPDATE: Delays expected to continue until 12.30pm.

There are currently delays and cancellations between Newbury and Bedwyn after a points failure on the line this morning.

Great Western Railway (GWR) said it hoped to have "some lines reopened shortly".

Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or suspended until the issue is resolved.

Disruption is expected until around 11.30am

GWR said it expected disruption until around 11.30am.

Replacement buses are currently ferrying passengers between Bedwyn and Newbury - in that direction only - until further notice.

The local stopping train service was expected resume from Newbury to Bedwyn at 10.25am and from Bedwyn to Newbury at 10.57am.
