Train delays due to overunning engineering work today (Mon)

First Great Western has warned passengers that trains running between Newbury and Westbury may be cancelled, delayed or diverted at short notice, with disruption to services expected until 5pm today.
The 8.29am train from Newbury to Reading was also cancelled this morning, with warnings that two further trains departing Newbury at around 9am would not run.
Trains were also reported to be getting into London late as a result of the delays between Newbury and Reading.
Road replacement transport will be operating between Pewsey and Newbury and between Pewsey and Swindon.
A statement realesed by First Great Western this morning said: "Engineering works are over-running between Pewsey and Newbury stations.
"Only one of the two tracks is expected to be available until 17.00 today.
"A reduced level of service is operating between Newbury and Bedwyn.
"This is being supplemented by buses where necessary.
"Additionally, buses are operating between Pewsey and Swindon in both directions.
"Trains that would normally call at Pewsey will today stop at Swindon instead for connecting road transport to Pewsey.
"First Great Western would like to apologise for the inconvenience this extension to the recent engineering works has caused to your journey this morning."
