Great Western Railways trains delayed after lorry strikes Hungerford bridge
A LORRY has struck the railway bridge in Hungerford High Street, causing trains chaos.
The latest incident happened this morning, Friday, January 28.
Great Western Railway (GWR) has said that engineers need to examine the bridge before trains can move over it safely.
The company said in a statement: "Services running through this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised, as a result".
The incident is the latest in a number of lorry strikes at the same spot.
Large vehicles repeatedly get wedged beneath the roof.
Martin Bakker, of High Street florists Martin & The Magpie said: "We heard it and ran out in case someone was hurt."
