Travellers descended upon Thatcham

The group of about five caravans and various cars set up on Pipers Way Green yesterday (Thurs) and have now been asked to leave by the landowner, West Berkshire Council.
Council spokesman, Keith Ulyatt, said that notice had been served on the travellers who had been given until 11am on Monday to vacate the site.
However, he said that the travellers had informed the council that they intended to leave on Sunday.
