Travellers on School Green, Greenham, expected to move on today




TRAVELLERS who arrived on School Green, in Greenham Road, last night (Sun) are expected to move on today.

Police were alerted to the group, which consists of around 10 vehicles, at around 8.20pm last night, however it is expected they will move on later today as they are said to be en route to a fair in Dorset.

Thames Valley Police spokesman Craig Evry said: "Police informed the local authority and monitored the situation overnight.

"The travellers have indicated that they will be moving on today but we will keep the situation monitored."

A spokeswoman for West Berkshire Council, Peta Stoddart-Crompton, added: "The council and the police are aware of the travellers and have spoken with them.

"They are en route to Dorset so should be moving shortly.

"The situation is being monitored."
