Beauty & the Beast cast putting finishing touches to Newbury’s Corn Exchange panto

Christmas is coming and it’s nearly panto time in Newbury.

The cast of the Corn Exchange’s festive offering this year have been putting the finishing touches to their hair and make up as dress rehearsals are well underway.

This year Beauty & The Beast features some new and familiar comedy faces, West End wonders and a very talented beast.

Once again the panto, which runs from Friday until December 31, is written and directed by Plested, Brown and Wilsher Pantomime.

Clare Plested, Adam Brown and Amanda Wilsher have delighted Newbury audiences for the past four years with their hilarious and fresh takes on much-loved pantomime tales, not to mention their cheeky adult shows.

They promise magic, mayhem and mischief aplenty, roaringly funny jokes, beastly amounts of magic and a hit list of songs for all ages. Plus the opportunity to boo and hiss...

Our photographer Phil Cannings joined them for the final days of rehearsals and you can find more of his pictures in this week’s Newbury Weekly News – out on Thursday.
