Tree blaze near Newbury FC extinguished




Newbury firefighters called to scene

A TREE blaze next to Newbury FC was extinguished by Newbury firefighters yesterday (Sun) morning.

One fire engine from Newbury Fire Station was called at 9.33am, when a tree was discovered smoldering in an area behind Newbury FC, situated alongside the Kennet and Avon Canal, in Faraday Road.

Firefighters used a portable pump to extinguish the fire.

The RBFRS did not have any details as to the cause.

The incident was closed at 10.44am.
