Tree of grace service for popular Compton lady
Belinda Harding-Perry died from a brain tumour in February last year and her friends established the charity Belinda’s Wish to honour their friend.
Her mother, Regine Parkinson, has arranged a Tree of Grace service, raising funds for the Children’s Society, as Mrs Harding-Perry and her brother Justin were adopted through the society.
Tree of Grace allows people to place cards on a tree as a way of remembering their loved ones.
The cards cost £5 with 50 per cent going to the Children’s Society and half being donated to the church.
The event will be held at St Mary’s and St Nicholas Church, Compton, from Sunday until January 6 and there will be a blessing at the Carol Service at 6pm on Sunday.
