Tributes paid to Thatcham pensioner who died in crash
Family tributes paid to Raymond Munt after he died following a collision near Silchester on Saturday
A 76-YEAR-OLD man from Thatcham was killed following a car crash near Silchester on Saturday (2).
Raymond Munt, of Westfield Crescent, was driving his green Nissan Micra along Soke Road towards Aldermaston when it left the road on a bend at around 10.42am.
The car hit a wooden gate and the garage of a cottage.
Mr Munt was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation by police officers attending the scene before being taken by land ambulance to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital where he died at 11.40am.
His family have now paid tribute to Mr Munt saying he was “a quiet, gentle man who will be sorely missed.”
