Truck fire treated as suspicious




The cause of a fire that destroyed a tow truck in Stanford Dingley last week has yet to be established

A FIRE which destroyed a tow truck found near the M4 on Friday is being treated as suspicious by Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Fire crews from Newbury and Dee Road, Tilehurst, were called to the blazing Mitsubishi recovery truck in Burnt Hill Road, Stanford Dingley, at 5.30am and used one hose reel to extinguish the flames within 40 minutes.

The cause of the fire has yet to be established.
