Greenham Control Tower reopens as coronavirus restrictions are eased
The Trustees of the Greenham Common Control Tower have announced that the tower is now open again to the public after the closure due to the pandemic.
The Tower will be open on Saturday and Sunday only as from May 22, 2021, and all visitors will be asked to wear facemasks when inside the building.
There will be hand sanitisers at the front door and on the observation deck and visitors are encouraged to use and check in on the NHS app.
There will be a restriction on the number of persons allowed in the tower at any one time.
Trustee, Nigel Manley, added: “We hope to be able to remove all restrictions after June 21 depending on the timetable for the lift on restrictions laid down by the Government.
“In the meantime the café will continue as a takeaway service only, Wednesday to Sunday.”
The programme of exhibitions will commence with the winning photographs of the recent BBOWT photographic competition followed by the Newbury Creative Stitchers on June 21.
