Two arrested after handgun and knife are used in robbery





The men, aged 19 and 18, have been arrested in connection with an incident that happened at around 12.35pm on Monday in Curlew Drive, Tilehurst.
The pair have been released on bail until Thursday (October 18) when they will return to Newbury police station.
During the alleged incident the victim, an 18-year-old man, was approached by two men.
One of them produced a knife and the other produced what the victim believed to be a handgun.
The victim was then forced to hand over his mobile phone and i-Pod.
Pc Snezhanna Lennon, from Newbury CID, said: “Although we have made two arrests we still need to trace any witnesses to this incident.”
