Second crash on the M4, between junction 13 at Chieveley and junction 12 at Theale, causing long delays for Friday rush hour

A second crash is causing traffic chaos on the M4 through West Berkshire this evening (Friday).

There are currently long delays on the eastbound carriageway, between junction 13 at Chieveley and junction 12 for Theale.

National Highways said there had been two separate collisions on the same stretch of motorway this afternoon.

There is currently around three miles of congestion after the second crash, which is just past the Newbury turn off at junction 13.

The initial collision has now been cleared but one lane remains closed due to a second, separate crash, National Highways reported.
