Two dead and one seriously injured in light aircraft crash, north Hampshire
TWO people have died and a third was in a life threatening condition, following a light aircraft crash near Popham Airfield in North Hampshire this afternoon (Saturday).
Hampshire Constabulary released a statement this evening confirming two people, who have not been named, died in the crash, with police called at 3.43pm to the scene, in woodlands off the A303, between Basingstoke and Andover.
A third person was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life threatening injuries.
South Central Ambulance Service sent the Hampshire and Isle of WIght Air Ambulance to the scene, together with three ambulances and a doctor.
The person with life threatening injuries was taken to hospital by road in an ambulance.
