Two in court over stealing from a car parked in Penwood Drive, Highclere
Two men accused of motoring offences in Highclere, among other places, have been charged by police.
Hampshire Police said they have been investigating a number of vehicle-related crimes that have taken place across the summer.
They include an incident in the North Hampshire village in July and this week.
On Thursday, September 26, Edward Butler and Lee James Butler appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
Edward Butler, 49, has been charged with seven offences, including three counts of driving a motor vehicle using stolen number plates, and three counts of driving whilst disqualified.
He is also accused of stealing from a car parked in Penwood Drive, Highclere, on Tuesday, September 24.
On Monday, July 29, he is accused of interfering with an unspecified vehicle interference with intent to steal.
He has also been charged with three further offences, all on Friday, July 26: Failing to stop after an accident on Winchester Street, Overton; theft of car number in New Road, Winchester; and making off without payment at a petrol station at West Meon.
Lee James Butler, 25, also of no fixed abode, was charged with one count of theft from a motor vehicle for an incident on Tuesday, September 24 at Penwood Drive, Highclere.
