Two injured in Burghfield Common crash




TWO people have been injured after a Peugeot car and a van collided on the Padworth Road in Burghfield Common today (Weds).
The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a road traffic accident at 1.41pm, which occurred near the junction with Rectory Road.
One pump from Mortimer and another from Dee Road attended the scene.
The driver of the black Peugeot 406 is believed to have sustained serious injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.
The South Central Ambulance Service said that the male driver of the black Peugeot 406 was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital, where his injuries were thought to be serious, but not life threatening.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Hannah Williams, said she believed the driver of the blue Volkswagen van was also hurt in the crash.
