Two men arrested after drugs raid

A third man is cautioned at the scene after drugs were found on his person

TWO men have been arrested after police found what they believe to be bags containing a Class B drug during a raid in Newbury yesterday (Wednesday).

Officers executed the warrant in Maple Crescent, Newbury, at about 11.30am yesterday.

A 20-year-old man from London and a 26-year-old man from Newbury were arrested on suspicion of intent to supply cannabis.

Both men have been released on police bail to appear at Newbury Police Station on May 14.

A third man, who was visiting the address, was given a caution for having a small amount of cannabis on his person.

A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Marianne Shaw, said: “A search was carried out on the property and several bags believed to contain cannabis were found as well as drugs paraphernalia.”
