Two men charged following Newbury assault




Incident occurred outside Slug and Lettuce in September

TWO men have been charged in connection with an assault outside the Slug and Lettuce pub in Newbury.

Yesterday saw Usman Hanif, aged 21, of Torquay Spur, Slough, charged with one count of ABH while Sadda Hanif, aged 22, of Lismore Park, Slough, was charged with one count of battery.

The charges are in connection with the assault of a man on September 10, outside the Slug and Lettuce in Wharf Street, Newbury.

Both men have been bailed, and are due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on December 29.
