Two Newbury solicitor firms merge
Gardner Leader has expanded its inheritance protection, residential property and dispute resolution departments through the transfer of Charles Hoile’s probate, conveyancing and litigation teams.
This enables Charles Hoile to focus on its expertise in family and criminal law.
The move will see three solicitors move from Charles Hoile to join the team of 28 lawyers at Gardner Leader.
Various other positions will also be moving.
The managing partner of Gardner Leader, Derek Rodgers, said: “This acquisition is another move forward for Gardner Leader, bringing benefits to both firms and our clients.
“It will help us to further build and strengthen the range of specialist legal services that our clients currently enjoy and gain from, while opening up opportunities for future growth.”
Mike Davis, of Charles Hoile, said: “This gives us a great opportunity to focus on our key strengths of criminal and family law.
“As one of the few remaining solicitors in West Berkshire offering legal aid we remain committed to providing a service in these areas.
“We wish our departing staff the very best for the future and thank them for their valued support.”
