Two released on bail after racecourse punch-up

Fighting broke out around 4pm and lasted for around 15 minutes, leading to the closure of the bars and police to be called.
The Thames Valley Police helicopter hovered oberherad for around 90 minutes.
Police said the incident, which began on the ground floor of the grandstand and then spread to the racecourse concourse, was apparently caused by the meeting of Swansea and Cardiff City football fans.
There were several injuries as a result of the ensuing mass brawl and one person taken to hospital by private ambulance as a result of a heart attack unrelated to the violence.
Mobile phone footage uploaded to the internet shows gangs of up to 60 race goers throwing punches as security staff struggle to keep them apart.
One man in a smart suit is seen walking away with his face and head covered in blood and the Thames Valley Police helicopter was seen to hover overhead for around 90 minutes.

And at 1.20pm yesterday (Sunday), the racecourse Tweeted: “We are disappointed with the incident that happened at yesterday's race meet and hope most of our racegoers had a great day.”
