Two wrongs make a right dirty duo

The Double Act who dare to do the dirty head for New Greenham Arts on Saturday with one of the most talked about shows of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The World of Wrong. Fast, furious and occasionally very rude, The Two Wrongies blend dance, cabaret and a filthy sense of humour. In The World of Wrong the duo offer an extraordinary performance of glorious physical parodies, beautiful silent dance illusions and a display of synchronised swimming on land. It’s comedy. It’s dance and it’s totally bonkers.
We caught up with Avis Cockbill and Janine Fletcher from The Two Wrongies to find out more.
What’s the show is about?
It’s an hour in the company of the Wrongies, its autobiographical, its surreal and absurd, its beautiful, its idiotic, its brash, it’s funny. We move, talk, change costumes lots, and show short films.
What sort of feedback have you had so far?
Completely mixed! Some people get it, love it, and embody it…so much so that they lunge at us in the streets (that’s one of our signature moves). There have been some awful responses in the past...one reviewer compared us to other infamous duos like the Fred and Rosemary West. Generally the audiences are really supportive. They love the mix of humour, entertainment, dance and even the darker bits.
