Ufton Court Educational Trust wins heritage award

UFTON Court Educational Trust has received the Sandford Award for Heritage Education.
The award is an independently judged, quality assured assessment of education programmes at heritage sites, museums, archives and collections across the British Isles.
Lead judge Mrs. K Wiseman said: “Ufton Court is an impressive place for a school visit. Pupils have an extraordinary amount of freedom to explore inside the kind of country house that would normally be roped off.
“The house and grounds are used as effective teaching tools by a team who care passionately about education in a heritage setting. Any school can be assured that the Ufton Court staff will deliver a valuable learning experience, one which the children will remember for a very long time”
Ufton Court Educational Trust is a charity that aims to inspire and challenge children by bringing history to life with residential and day visits.
