Several local dignitaries expected to meet outside West Berkshire Council offices today (Monday)
THE annual flag raising ceremony to commemorate United Nations Day is to take place in Newbury today (Monday).
Several local dignitaries, including the mayors of Newbury, Thatcham and Hungerford are expected to meet outside West Berkshire Council's offices in Market Street for the event, which takes place at about 12pm.
The raising of the flag will be accompanied by a musical fanfare from the Berkshire Maestros schools band.
