Unemployment in West Berkshire down for the second month in a row

Figures released today (Wednesday) by the Office for National Statistics show that 1,784 people (1.8 cent of the working population) claimed unemployment benefit during April – 31 less than in March.
Of these, 1,218 (2.5 per cent of the population) were men and 566 (1.2 per cent of the population) were women.
This time last year 35 fewer people in West Berkshire were claiming unemployment benefit.
