Unemployment levels fall in West Berkshire for first time in two months





Figures released today (Wednesday) by the Office for National Statistics show that 1,815 people (1.8 cent of the working population) claimed unemployment benefit during March – 44 less than in February.
Of these, 1,242 (2.5 per cent of the population) were men and 573 (1.2 per cent of the population) were women.
This time last year 21 fewer people in West Berkshire were claiming unemployment benefit.
