Unicycling clown raises funds for Cruse Bereavement
It probably even sounded like a good idea at the time.
But on Sunday it became very real for Andy Fry, a 47-year-old branch manager at PTS Plumbing.
He said: “It started out as a jokey chat at work. We were thinking of ways to support our chosen charity, West Berkshire Cruse Bereavement Care.
“Someone made this daft suggestion. But then I actually bought a unicycle and it got serious. It took me three months just to learn to ride it and it was so hard, I nearly gave up.”
But Mr Fry persevered, using “five per cent balance and 95 per cent determination.”
And his efforts paid off - he expects to have raised a whopping £500 by the time the sponsorship money has all been collected.
