Reading Magistrates' Court: Uninsured Thatcham man took car without consent




A MAN took a car without permission then drove it while uninsured.

Jamie Morgan appeared for sentencing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 16. The 26-year-old, of Longcroft Road, Thatcham, admitted taking a Ford Focus without the consent of the owner in Connaught Gardens, Thatcham, on August 8 last year.

He had previously denied the offence but then changed his mind.

Mr Morgan further admitted driving it without insurance and driving it without a valid licence, both on the same occasion.

He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £105 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £40.

He was banned from driving for six months.
