Burghfield motorist Tony Hansen admits driving dangerously in Newbury
A MOTORIST is awaiting sentencing for dangerous driving.
Tony Hansen appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 10.
The 35-year-old, of Holmdene, Burghfield Common, admitted driving a BMW 1 Series dangerously in Newbury on Monks Lane, Newtown Road, the A339 and Burghclere Road on August 18.
He further admitted driving without insurance and driving without a valid licence on the same occasion.
A charge of failing to stop for police, also in Newbury on August 18, was withdrawn.
Magistrates adjourned the case for pre-sentence reports.
They stipulated these should be prepared on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody, and stressed they reserved the right to commit the case to be sentenced by a judge sitting at Reading Crown Court should they decide, on reading the reports, that their own powers of punishment were insufficient.
Hansen, who was legally represented by Robert Jacques, was meanwhile released on conditional bail.
